Seriously ill teen dies just days after check-up

A Styrian teenager died of pulmonary embolism four days after being seen by a specialist, it has emerged.Tanja K. from Mürzzuschlag went to see a physician after she started having breathing difficulties last May. The doctor ordered her to see a pulmonary specialist to clarify the cause of the problem.Daily newspaper Kronen Zeitung reported today (Thurs)that the 19-year-old was sent home by the expert with an asthma spray and the advice to relax a bit more from the stress the upcoming final exams may cause her.Her parents, who are considering launching legal action against the medic, explained they decided to make the case public to avoid the same thing happening to somebody else.
