Chinese traveller checks conman on the run

Police are hunting a Chinese fraudster who fled after trying to exchange stolen traveller checks worth almost 800 Euros.Graz police announced today (Fri) the man attempted to turn American Traveller Cheques worth 1,000 US dollars (790 Euros) into money at a city centre bank yesterday.The conman left his passport behind as he ran away after the clerk started to make calls to check his identity and the cheques’ data.Officials said they have started searching for the man – but failed to explain why they did not reveal his identity in their bid to find him.
