Seidel Elektronik staff figure reaches record high

Styrian electronic products manufacturer Seidel Elektronik said it hoped for pre-crisis business figures for this year as it employs more staff than ever before despite difficult economic circumstances.The Deutschlandsberg-based firm said today (Thurs) that with 342 now on its books, it currently had more employees than ever, adding that it was currently looking for additional specialised workers.The current employment level means a 26 per cent year on year increase to staff numbers from the same time last year, it said.Company CEO Hans-Peter Süß stressed order values have started to rise again recently. He added the firm had a turnover of 16 million Euros in the first quarter of the current business year.Süß said he was convinced that his firm – one of the biggest private employers in the region – had the potential to surpass turnover and earnings figures from before the economic crisis.Seidel Elektronik also runs factories in Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia.
