Marla Glen lined up for Viennese Africa festival
Marla Glen will headline this year’s Afrika Tage Wien (Africa Days Vienna) festival, it has emerged.
Online music newspaper Britishrock.cc reports today (Fri) that the American soul singer is set to top the bill at the 17-day event which will start on 30 July.
German singer-songwriter Hans Söllner and Austrian funk icon Kurt Hauenstein’s band Supermax are also lined up to rock the stage at Vienna’s Donauinsel.
More than 100,000 visitors are expected to attend the event which will also feature exhibitions by African artists and a wide range of culinary offerings.
Meanwhile, it was announced that US rock stars ZZ Top will perform at Vienna’s Stadthalle concert hall on 14 October, while Mancunian trio I Am Kloot are set to play Vienna’s Flex club on 30 October and at the p.p.c. in Graz the following night.
