Delirium – Classical winter concerts in Salzburg

A series of pre-Christmas, classical concerts will take place in Salzburg this winter. The event named “Delirium” is to be presented by conductor, director and founder of the Tyrolean Festival in Erl, Gustav Kuhn.

The various concerts will take place in the Mozarteum Foundation’s Large Hall and will play host to both the orchestra and choral academy from the Tyrolean Festival and soloists from Kuhn’s Accademia di Montegral.

The festive programme will include such works as Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 4, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25, Mahler’s Fourth Symphony and, traditionally, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. Contemporary music also features in the line-up with Austrian premieres and debut performances of works by Daniel Schnyder and Angelo di Montegral.

The first “Delirium” concert takes place at 7.30pm on Friday 16 December and the series concludes on 18 December. Tickets range from between 15 Euros and 125 Euros.
