Rioter may have infected policewoman with AIDS

A policewoman underwent examinations after a rioting drinker claimed he had AIDS after attacking her.The 48-year-old German scratched the officer’s arm as she tried to calm him down. The woman and colleagues were called by bus passengers frightened by the rampaging man wielding a shattered beer bottle in Salzburg on Wednesday evening.Doctors took blood samples of the policewoman after the offender said he was suffering from AIDS. The man – now facing charges for bodily harm and for damaging public and private property – was arrested after spitting into the face of a policeman.Officials remained tight-lipped regarding results of the check of the woman’s blood today (Fri).
