Intercell names new CEO

Struggling vaccine developer Intercell AG has presented a new company chief.The Vienna-based research firm said today (Thurs) board member Thomas Lingelbach will take over as CEO next Tuesday (10 May). Current head Gerd Zettlmeissl will leave the company “to pursue other personal and professional interests,” Intercell added.Lingelbach has been the company’s COO since 2006. He previously worked for other leading health sector firms such as Hoechst and Novartis.Intercell’s net loss soared from 18.38 million Euros in 2009 to 255.2 million Euros the following year. Its turnover slid by 45 per cent to 34.2 million Euros at the same time.
