Convict hides in wardrobe

An on-the-run crook tried to hide from police by hiding under a pile of dresses in a wardrobe, it has been reported.Officials in Saalfelden, Salzburg, announced today (Tues) that the 38-year-old was found crouching under a pile of dresses in his daughter’s bedroom wardrobe yesterday morning.The man’s wife had allowed the police officers in after telling them her husband was not at home.The man – who was put in detention – recently failed to turn up for a five-month jail term he was sentenced to serve for failing to pay various fines of 7,000 Euros altogether.
