Austrian singer ‘sped along Croatian coast’

Furious residents of a Croatian seaside resort have called on water guards to fine an Austrian singer for speeding.A clip (www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFLHa3jZaDw) for Monika Martin’s new hit “Auf Wiedersehn Goodbye” shows the folk music and Schlager singer going on a motor boat going at high speed along the coast of Vis.Many locals and music fans discussing the new video on social network platforms like Facebook have suggested authorities should issue Martin with a fine as the clip suggests she broke shipping laws by driving at too high a speed.Croatian water guard authorities have refused to reveal whether they consider to reprimand or fine the singer or her management over the video shoot, the Croatian Times reports.Martin, born Ilse Bauer, is one of the most successful folk music artists in German-speaking Europe. She released more than 20 albums since 1990 and represented Austria in the Grand Prix der Volksmusik contest several times.
