Most singles don’t want future girlfriends to love football
Less than two in ten single men want their future partners to share their passion for football, according to new research.Online partner agency Parship said today (Thurs) 15 per cent of interviewed men said they would appreciate their girlfriends to be as mad about the sport as they were.The company which spoke to 4,670 registered users across Europe of which 400 were Austrian also said six in ten male and female singles planned to watch live coverage of matches in the upcoming World Cup at public venues in a bid to find a new partner.Another result of the poll is that the vast majority of 82 per cent of single men would ditch an arranged date to watch a football match screening. Six in ten of interviewed woman said they would do the same.The 19th Football World Cup goes underway with two matches tomorrow. The tournament featuring 32 national teams will be preceded by a bombast opening ceremony tonight. Austria did not qualify for the event.
