World Cup hit rapper K’Naan to come to Vienna
Up and coming rapper K’Naan will perform in Austria this summer, it has been announced.Music news website Britishrock.cc reports today (Thurs) that the Somali-Canadian artist will rock the stage at Viennas Szene club on 31 August.The 32-year-old is best known for his hit “Wavin’ Flag” which is currently topping the Austrian single charts. The song was initially released last year before a re-release took off this year.The song is the title track of Coca Colas promotional activities concerning the upcoming Football World Cup and tipped to be a worldwide hit this summer.KNaan, born Keinan Abdi Warsame, released three studio albums including 2009 work “Troubadour”.Other concerts taking place at the Szene Vienna this summer are the performances of singer-songwriter Devendra Banhart (22 June) and Grammy Award-nominated band GWAR (5 July).
