EN-TECH goes bust
Carinthian energy technology firm EN-TECH filed for bankruptcy at the regional court of Klagenfurt today (Mon).The Creditors Protection Association of 1870 (KSV 1870) announced the company which is headquartered in St. Veit an der Glan had debts of 1.79 million Euros. Thirteen employees and 120 creditors are affected.EN-TECH bosses said business suffered after sale figures declined due to the economic crisis. They added there were no plans to continue making business.EN-TECH specialises in the production of pellet heating systems.KSV 1870 said recently the number of business bankruptcies in Austria had declined by 3.6 per cent year on year to 1,639 during the first quarter of this year, while the number of private bankruptcies rose by 6.4 per cent to 2,586 in the same period.The body said it expected the number of firms going bust to jump year on year in 2010.
