Melzer confident as Davis Cup team face Spain

Austrian tennis ace Jürgen Melzer has denied claims that the Austrian Davis Cup team has no chance against Spain.

Melzer, 30, said yesterday (Tues) that the opponents are clear favourites to win this weekend’s quarter final clash – but also made aware that he beat David Ferrer and Nicolas Almagro before.

The matches will take place in Spanish seaside town Oropesa del Mar between Friday (6 April) and Sunday.
