Hungarian dies in car crash

A 23-year-old Hungarian died when his car was slashed into two pieces in a crash yesterday evening (Sun).

The man came off the road in Eben in Salzburg’s Pongau area. A 31-year-old man who was in the passenger seat survived the accident with cuts and bruises.

A young Austrian was killed in a car crash in Tyrol on the same day. The 20-year-old’s vehicle slid off the street in Niederndorf and plunged into a river. Paramedics tried to resuscitate the driver to no avail. He may have been speeding. However, the accident is still being investigated.

Also on Sunday, a 21-year-old motorist crashed against a bridge pillar near Rennweg in the Carinthian district of Spittal an der Drau for unclear reasons. He was already dead when an ambulance arrived.
