Elderly German dies after collapsing on ski slope

An autopsy has been ordered after an elderly German collapsed and died on a slope in Tyrol.Officials in Finkenberg announced today (Mon) that the 72-year-old from Berlin may have suffered a heart attack. They stressed that a forensic examination should reveal the cause of the pensioner’s death.The incident occurred on Saturday morning at the Hintertuxer glacier. Other skiers and the crew of a medic helicopter failed to resuscitate the man.Meanwhile, a 33-year-old man from the German city of Oberhausen is recovering in a clinic after suffering multiple fractures in a crash off prepared slopes at the Pitztaler glacier in Tyrol’s Imst district.
