Sepultura and Skunk Anansie roll into Austria

A highly influential metal band and a celebrated alternative rock group will come to Austria in the coming weeks.

Brazilian metal legends Sepultura are lined up to rock the Szene club (www.szenewien.com) in Vienna on 25 July before performing at the p.p.c. (www.popculture.at), a concert venue in the city of Graz, on 14 August. Sepultura were founded by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera who left the act some years ago. Nevertheless, the band still manage to delight their fans across the world with their thrilling live performances. “Chaos A.D.” from 1993 and follow-up album “Roots” are widely regarded as two of the best metal records of the 1990s.

British alternative rock act Skunk Anansie will come to Graz for a gig at the Kasematten venue (www.spielstaetten.at) on 15 August. The band fronted by singer Skin had a worldwide hit with “Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)” in 1997. They only recently returned to the stage after an eight-year hiatus. Skunk Anansie’s fourth studio album “Wonderlustre” was released to critical acclaim last year.
