Placebo to rock Salzburg
Placebo will perform in Salzburg in September, it has been announced.Online music newspaper Britishrock.cc reports today (Tues) that the alterative rock giants are set to hit the stage at the Salzburgarena on 5 September. Placebo, who have performed several times in Austria over the past years, are also confirmed to headline the Two-Day-A-Week festival taking place in Wiesen, Burgenland, between 2 and 4 September.Placebo, who released their sixth studio album “Battle for the Sun” last year, rose to international fame with “Without You Im Nothing”, their second release in 1998. Songs such as “Every You, Every Me” and “Pure Morning” became worldwide hits.Australian rock band Airbourne are meanwhile set to perform at Viennas Gasometer concert hall on 20 November, before Canadas Danko Jones will rock the citys Arena the next day.Rumour has it that American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow will give a concert at the Gasometer Vienna on 17 October.
