T-Mobile Austria and DDB Tribal team up

T-Mobile Austria has hired a new marketing agency.The Viennese company said today (Tues) that it will cooperate with DDB Tribal as of 1 March after a seven-year partnership with Publicis.DDB Tribal also works for T-Mobile Germany, Viennese brewery Ottakringer and German consumer products maker Henkel.Alexander Rosenegger of DDB Tribal in Vienna said: “Together we will try to make T-Mobile Austria a more lively brand.”T-Mobile Austria – which presented a special mobile phone rate aimed at the German community in Austria yesterday – has 3.7 million private and business customers in Austria.The firm achieved earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) of 144 million Euros in the first six months of last year, up by 17 per cent year on year. Its turnover dropped by 5.9 per cent to 491 million Euros at the same time.T-Mobile is the second-biggest player on the Austrian mobile communications market behind Mobilkom Austria.
