Beethoven shopping list to be auctioned

A shopping list scribbled by Ludwig van Beethoven will be auctioned in Germany later this year, it has emerged.The German composer, who spent many years working and living in Austria, wrote the memo to himself in Vienna in 1817. The list features soap, a mousetrap, a knife and a metronome.Auctioneers in Cologne said today (Fri) they hope to rake in 60,000 Euros from the sale of the shopping list which was discovered in an antiques store in the 1960s.
