Loss-making JoWooD seeks investor
Struggling computer games producer JoWooD Entertainment AG (JoWooD) has started looking for an investor.The Viennese company, which has been quoted on the Vienna Stock Exchange (WBAG) since 2000, said today (Thurs) its operative losses soared by 1.655 million Euros to 14.304 million Euros year on year in the first nine months of 2010.The firm which created popular PC games like “Industriegigant” (Industry Giant) and “Die Völker” (The Nations) added that its turnover declined from 18.627 million Euros to 8.163 million Euros.”Intensive talks with potential investors are already ongoing,” JoWooD explained, adding that it hoped new cooperation would help it gain fresh capital.JoWooD recently presented new strategy game “SpellForce 2 – Faith In Destiny” and adventure game “Playmobil Top Agents”.
