Silgan might snatch Vogel & Noot

A leading American metal and plastic containers manufacturer has revealed it is close to completing the acquisition of an Austrian rival.US media report today (Thurs) Silgan Holdings Inc. (Silgan) is ready to take over Vogel & Noot Holding AG (Vogel & Noot) for 253 million Euros.Vogel & Noot, which is based in Wartberg in Styria’s Mürz Valley, does business in Austria and several European countries including Russia, Poland and Germany.Silgan produces metal food containers and plastic containers for personal care products in 68 factories in North and South America, Europe and Asia. The company has its headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, USA. Silgan has done business with dominating brands like food giant Nestle.
