Austrians die in snowstorm plane crash in Italy

By Emiliano AlbensiThree Austrians were killed in an airplane crash in central Italy yesterday evening (Sun) after flying into a snowstorm, it has emerged.Officials in the country’s Marche region said today (Mon) the Cessna 182 started in Rome’s Urbe Airport for Wolfsberg, Austria, when it crashed between Ancona and Macerata.The site where the plane came down is currently being investigated. Work has been delayed by fresh snowfall in the area.Officials said communication to the pilot – who was warned of bad weather conditions – broke off some hours after take-off as the man screamed “Help, help, my God!”No one else was on board apart from the three Austrians – two men and one woman.
