Kebab stand robber gets two and a half years in prison

A 21-year-old man who tried to rob a kebab stand was sentenced to two and a half years in prison yesterday (Tues) by Feldkirch provincial court.The man and a 14-year old accomplice with a pistol had tried to hold up the stand in Frastanz, Vorarlberg in January, but the mother of its Kurdish proprietor threw a chair at the pair and caused them to flee empty handed.The court sentenced the 21-year-old, who has six previous convictions, to two and a half years in prison, including a yearÂ’s suspended sentence.The court gave the 14-year-old an eight month suspended sentence and ordered him to take an anti-aggression course.
