Guest House luxury hotel tries new concept
A new five-star hotel named the "Guest House" is establishing a new luxury–hotel concept and is currently under construction in the first district in Vienna.
Hotel-manager Manfred Stallmajer says the "Guest House" is supposed to become a different kind of luxury hotel. The concept of the "Guest House" is to make the guest feel comfortable and to make them feel like they are living in their own apartment with hotel service on the side. The 39 hotel rooms are all larger than 30 square meters and will be designed in a classy city-apartment style.
There will be an "All-Day-Breakfast-Restaurant" and a own hotel-bakery that can be entered by the pedestrians as well. Stallmajer says that the prices will also be different compared to other five-star hotels. A room a night will only cost between 240 and 280 Euros when in the "Ritz-Calton Vienna" guests pay 550 Euros per night.
The luxury hotel will not have any kind of spa-wellness facilities because the point of the hotel is not to compete with other five-star hotels.
The British designer Terence Conran who also designed the "Hotel Tiest" and the "Café Drechsler"in Vienna will be the head of design for the "Guest House" as well.
Stallmajer says that Conran was picked out for the project because he manages to design timeless and high quality architecture.
The "Guest House" is currently under construction and is supposed to be done in autumn 2013.
Stallmajer says that the main target group will be people on business trips as well as private guests. Between 30 and 40 employees are planned for the hotel. The total costs of the hotel project add up to about 19 million Euros.
