Enjoy the bootiful scenery

Hotelier Michael Gehring is trying to tempt holidaymakers to see the natural boot-y around to his four star mountain resort - by giving each guest a free pair of walking boots.

The 100 GBP-a-time leather footwear is on offer to anyone who books a long weekend at the Hotel Unterhof, in Filzmoos, Austria.

Gehring explained: "We have spectacular mountain walks in the area and wanted to think of way to encourage people to come here and stay and try to see it at its best, by walking.

"People often come to stay to relax but they don't have the right footwear for walking. That won't be a problem again," he added.

Filzmoos which is part of the province of Salzburg has its main income from tourism: skiing in winter and hiking in summer with the nearby Bischofsmuetze (Bishop's Helmet) and the Dachstein the most popular for walks.
