'Swan Lake On Ice' to glide to Vienna

An ice figure skating show based on ballet "Swan Lake" is to be performed in Vienna.

The touring production – initially intended only for St. Petersburg’s 300th anniversary in 2003 – has become a hit all over the world.

The show called "Schwanensee on Ice" (Swan Lake On Ice), based on the famous ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, will be performed at Vienna’s Stadthalle on 11 April.

Those who prefer a more traditional approach to the ballet are recommended a performance by the St Petersburg Ballet Theatre at the Opera House Graz on 1 May (www.buehnen-graz.com).
