Croatian team arrives in Burgenland

Croatia's national football team has arrived in Austria this weekend to start their Euro 2012 training at Bad Tatzmannsdorf.

Just as with the Euro 2008 the team are hoping to fine-tune their skills in Burgenland in advance of appearing in Poland and the Ukraine.

the team were welcomed by hundreds of fans including lots of children when they arrived and put on a performance lead by Luka Modric und Co in the Bad Tatzmannsdorfer football arena where Austrian teams often prepare for key regional games.

They will remain in the area until Friday and on Monday will be playing a friendly game.

They then have the first real match against Ireland on June 10, and then following further matches against Spain and Italy.

The team spokesman Vlatko Markovic said: "We have a really tough group. I hope will make it through to the next stage."
