Bulls flog flopped Vladavic
Red Bull Salzburg let Admir Vladavic leave on the final day of the summer transfer period.
The Austrian league champs said today (Weds) they decided to allow the 28-year-old midfielder to rejoin Slovak side MSK Zilina where he had already played between 2007 and 2009 yesterday. The Bosnian national team ace only performed nine times for the Bulls.
Former Austria Vienna striker Thomas Pichlmann joined tradition-rich Italian third league side Hellas Verona from Serie B club US Grosseto.
Defender Aleksandar Dragovic stayed at Austria Vienna despite offers from Dutch, German and Italian clubs including AS Roma.
Rapid Vienna did not let second choice keeper Helge Payer join SV Ried where he could have replaced injured Thomas Gebauer. League leaders Ried were also interested in Rapid’s third choice goalie Lukas Königshofer, but the Green-Whites rejected the loan offer.
Rapid, who were tipped to sign Danish international Sören Larsen, snatched free agent Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink instead. The Dutchman was best scorer of the season in the Netherlands and Scotland. He played for Hull City in the English Premier League in the 2009/2010 season.
Meanwhile, West Bromwich Albion (WBA) announced they agreed with midfielder Paul Scharner about a transfer. The Austrian national team player – who was not nominated for his country’s upcoming Euro2012 qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan – was part of Wigan Athletic’s senior squad for the past five seasons.
The Austrian Bundesliga table after six rounds:
SV Ried, 15 points

Sturm Graz, 10
Rapid Vienna, 9
Kapfenberg, 8
Austria Vienna, 8
Magna Wiener Neustadt, 7
