Roma kids allegations
The department of city councillor Christian Oxonitsch gets no peace: the head of the youth welfare, which is part of the magistrate 11, provoked a debate about minors from abroad in an interview in the newspaper "Der Standard".
Norbert Ceipek talked about Roma children who were allegedly sent to beg "in the west" by clan chiefs. SPÖ trade unionists of the MA 11 now accuse him of racism in an open letter to Mr Oxonitsch.
They justify this with "strongly simplified words and prejudices, which are often used by the FPÖ".
Mr Oxonitsch points out that the MA 11 should deal with its internal issues themselves. Apparently, Mr Ceipek is not allowed to speak to the media any more.
