Green MP filmed speeding by FPÖ
Austrian Green Party Boss Eva Glawischnig has allegedly been caught on camera driving fast on the A2 motorway near Baden, Lower Austria, where the speed limit is 130 KMH.
The Austrian Freedom party (FPÖ) claim she was speeding at 160 kph on the motorway in her company electric car.
The Greens admitted she had been 'travelling fast' after running late following a traffic jam.
The FPÖ made the video pubic on Monday, and have criticised the excessive speed as well as the unsafe distance between her car and cars in front.
The Greens confirmed Glawischnig was in the front passenger seat of the car and confirmed after getting stuck in a traffic jam leaving Vienna the car was 'quick on its way'. They were rushing to get to an appointment in Puchberg am Schneeberg on time.
The driver does not deny going 'slightly over the allowed limit'.
The Greens believe the FPÖ's allegations are not correct as the video shows a van and a lorry nearby going at a similar speed.
