Solar power to tackle global warming

This year’s summer takes third place in the category of the hottest ever recorded in Austria.

But summer also brought extreme destruction due the weather.

And that is the reason why the solar energy plant company SIKO SOLAR is working to prevent such destruction in the future.

Thunderstorms, hail and extreme winds came along with the summer in Austria in 2012. The destruction caused by the extreme weather condition was intense and many people were left worrying about their homes, property and lives.

Arthur Sief, the manager of SIKO SOLAR, has been campaigning for the greater use of solar plants for 30 years now. He and his weather experts say that this year's summer is a perfect example of the global warming effect.

The reason for the extreme heat mixed with massive thunderstorms is that the greenhouse gases prevent the ground heat emitting into space. Therefore it gets warmer on earth.

Arthur Sief says that every single citizen has the power to decide to make a difference. Little things such as buying products with a short route of transportation can help.

SIKO SOLAR has been in the business of alternative energy since 1980 and their motto "We rescue our children’s tomorrow – energy without a shady side" demonstrates their goals.
