Boys locked in the lavatory

Fireman in Perchtoldsdorf in Mödling south of Vienna were called out to rescue two schoolboys after the door to the school toilet broke leaving the pair locked inside.

A teacher noticed that the toilet door was locked after the lunch break and then discovered that the two boys were trapped inside, and after failing to open it raised the alarm with fireman.

The fire service then used special equipment to force the door open, and then repaired the door and the lock to ensure the toilet could still be used by the pupils for the rest of the day.

The headteacher told local media: "Something like this has never happened before – we don't know why the door broke."
