Racing Romanians pulled up short

Austrian police managed to stop to Romanian road rowdies who decided to have a race travelling at 187 km an hour along the a four heading towards Hungary.

The pair were court by officers in an unmarked police car near Mönchof and were ordered to pay a substantial amount of money against a future fine that they are expected to receive and a ban on driving in Austria.

Police said that the two were going so fast that they had even failed to see when the speed limit was reduced to 80 km an hour and had sped at 172 km an hour through the slower stretch of motorway.
