Drunk breaks into police station to steal his car keys
A drunk driver who had his car keys confiscated by cops in Hieflau, Austria, broke into the police station to steal them back and also stole a policeman uniform to make good his escape.
The 29-year-old driver from the Czech Republic had his car key's and license confiscated by cops for drink driving after worried road users reported his erratic driving to police.
After damaging his car after hitting a kerb before driving out of control through the town, police stopped him for a breath test. After refusing, police took his license, number plates and car keys.
The man told police he would call a friend at a nearby camping site to pick him up.
A short while later the disgruntled man came back to Hieflau where he broke into the town hall through a window, when he found all the doors inside locked he gave up and went to the local police station.
The man stole a ladder from a building site nearby and climbed the police station wall and got through an open window into an empty office.
There he found his car keys and took them back alongside a police uniform.
He then called friends at the camping site to collect him from the police station.
A short while later police found the man at the camp site, arrested him and took the police uniform back.
