Cash back German

A German woman who stopped her car to grab cash alongside a road and then sped off without handing it in was stopped at the border by police - and forced to hand the money back.

The drama started when a wallet containing 1,500 Euros in cash was left on the roof of a car  in a petrol station by a man in St Martin in Pongau, Austria.

Two locals started to gather the wallet and the cash up when the German woman stopped and joined them.

But instead of handing it in she drove off, but the two honest collectors who handed in the money to police also handed over the woman's licence number.

The 29-year-old woman was forced to hand the cash over to police when they stopped her at the border 155 kilometers away from  where she had found the wallet, and she now faces charges over the attempted theft.
