4,000 Vienna household without power

4,000 households in the Viennese districs of Margareten, Wieden and Favoriten have been without power since midday (Thurs) following a power cut in the Austrian capital.

To blame is thought to be a cable problem. Just before 12.00 midday households in Margareten and Wieden were affected and at 13.00 households in Favoriten were also affected.

According to energy supplier Wien Energie it is not yet know when power will be restored to the properties.

This is only the latest power cut to affect properties in Vienna.

In July some properties in Josefstadt and Ottakring were left without power for a number of hours.
