Desperate For The Sound Of Music
Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher was so keen to visit Sound of Music city Salzburg that she arrived early so she could get in as much sightseeing as possible.
And the music lover wasted no time to soak up the sites and sounds by rushing direct to a performance by the Vienna Philharmonic in the Großen Festspielhaus - before meeting up the next day with Hollywood actress Rosario Dawson for a photo after they were invited as honorary guests to the Young Directors Projects (YDP) sponsored by the "Montblanc Cultural Foundation".
She flew to Salzburg late Monday from her home in Los Angeles and said: "I have hardly had enough time to really get to know the city but the view from the hotel room was fantastic," said the 47-year-old Hatcher. She added: "It's a real shame my daughter is not here, she is a real opera fan.
Tomorrow (Wed) she will be at the Première of the Opera "La Boheme" with Anna Netrebko as "Mimi" and Piotr Beczala in the roll of "Rodolfo" again in the Großen Festspielhaus.
Tuesday hatcher and Dawson were given a private introduction to the YDP project "Trapped" by Salzburger Festspiele boss Sven-Eric Bechtolf that included a traditional dress for former James-Bond-Girl Hatcher.
Rosario Dawson who arrived from London where she had been watching the Olympics is the star of films like "Sin City 2", "Grindhouse" and "The Zoo Keeper" - and is leaving tomorrow (Wed) while Hatcher will leave Thursday.
