Teen killed in moped accident

A 16-year-old moped rider was killed last night in Zirl in the Austrian Tirol when he collided head on with a cement mixer truck.

The teenager is thought not to have seen the cement mixer truck when he pulled out of a junction and collided head on with the truck.

The boy was crushed by the truck and unable to free himself. He died at the scene from his injuries.
