Pranksters sought who blew up toilet

Police suspect gas in a toilet's septic tank accentuated the effect of a blast caused by a large firework believed to have been set off by pranksters in a temporary WC in the western Austrian city of Klagenfurt.

The explosion in the middle of the night on Saturday blew out all four walls and also blasted the roof off the toilet, set up alongside building site in the city and scattering debris over a 30 foot radius.

Police had originally believed dynamite was used but later modified it to say it might have been something smaller such as a firework, which coupled with methane fumes in the toilet itself had cause the devastating explosion.
