Drunk driver mixes up cars
A drunk 50-year-old man drove off from a car park in the wrong car after getting into an identical vehicle after going into a chemist in Hoersching, in Linz Land, Austria.
The man had parked his niece's car in a car park and when he returned he got into a car which he thought was his nieces - it was the same colour and same make and the key worked in the ignition. He subsequently drove off to pick his niece up from the airport.
Only when he arrived at Linz airport did his niece point out that it was not her car.
In the meantime the car owner had notified cops that her car had been stolen.
The man and his niece drove back to the car park where he had taken the car 25 minutes previously, and found the owner and the police waiting there. The two cars had been parked next to one another.
Police noticed alcohol on the man's breath and he was found to have 1.7 mills of alcohol in his blood.
His driving license was confiscated on the spot.
