Serial shoplifters caught red handed

A Romanian thief was caught red handed by a shop worker as he filled his bag with expensive cosmetics in Tullnerbach-Lawies, near Vienna, Austria.

A 37-year-old shop worker called colleagues for help to restrain the thief and a shopper also jumped into help.

As the thief tried to flee a 23-year-old shopper managed to catch up with the thief and rip the bag out of his hands.

The Romanian thief then managed to flee in his car with an accomplice. But police were able to catch up with the man a short while later as his registration plate had been noted.

When police searched the car they found a further 500 stolen goods mainly cosmetics food and drink from other shops in the region.

Both of the men were arrested.
