Paraglider suffers multiple injuries

A young paraglider was seriously injured when a landing manoeuvre went wrong.

It is unclear why the 25-year-old man crashed to earth as he attempted to carry out a safe landing in Werfenweng, Salzburg, yesterday morning (Sun). He was transferred to a clinic in Salzburg after a local doctor found that he had seriously injured his head and pelvis.

Just a few weeks ago, a 60-year-old paraglider was hospitalised after he crashed to the ground from around eight metres after grazing a group of trees when he tried to touch down on a football pitch in Schnifis, Vorarlberg.
