Helpful pensioner suffers fatal heart attack

A kind-hearted pensioner has died of a heart attack after rescuing his neighbour’s life.

The 70-year-old man rushed to help his neighbour, 39, who was buried under a press board as he renovated his house in Weiler, Vorarlberg, yesterday (Tues).

The helpful pensioner managed to free the man with the help of his wife before he collapsed.

Paramedics said today the man suffered the fatal heart attack due to the stress the incident had caused him.

His neighbour is meanwhile recovering at the LKH clinic in Feldkirch.
