Austrian experts to operate on Croat cat injured by firecrackers

A cat whose legs were badly burnt by a sick animal torturer in Croatia is to undergo surgery in Austria.

Croatian Times reports tomcat Crni (Blackie) also lost several teeth when a wanted thug tied firecrackers to his legs in Dugi Otok.

The online newspaper added that owner Vinko Katanic will take his pet to Austria next month for surgery by experts.

"I cannot understand that perverse act. His legs are like minced meat. It makes me sick. I can't look at them," Katanic said.
