Tourist claims UK post office hands out fake money
Police in Tyrol have launched an investigation into claims by a British tourist that he had been given counterfeit money for his 2,200 pounds at a British post office ahead of his holiday.
The 42-year-old, identified as Steve C. by newspaper Kronen Zeitung, informed Austrian authorities about the scam after realising upon arrival that all the money he received at the post office in his homeland seemed to be fake.
British authorities have in the meantime also started investigations, according to reports.
