Gym class call for nursery school kids
Children in Kindergartens in Austria should get daily gym classes according to a new call for more sporting effort in the wake of the Austrian Olympic disaster.
Austria failed to get a single medal at the event in London in the summer.
The Austrian State Sport organisation is planning to organise a petition to give support to its demands. The idea originated out of discussions taking place in the Alpbach forum.
It is an annual event that takes place in August in the Tyrolean village of Alpbach. Politicians, academics, students, and decision makers from all areas come together to discuss and brainstorm new ideas and solutions to European and global problems.
The organisation added that it was the key to giving a child a successful future that they remained fit and healthy.
Organisation president Peter Wittmann said the measure was supported by more than 60 professional organisations as well as the Austrian Olympic committee.
