ICSV appoints two new School Principals
The International Christian School of Vienna has appointed Ms Amanda Howard as Elementary and Mr Joe Overby as Secondary Principal.
Both are taking over their roles from the previous administrators, Mr Janett and Mr Pitotti, who have both return to the USA to retire.
Mr. James Devenish, Director of ICSV: "I am excited to have both Amanda and Joe join the administration of our school. We are thankful to their predecessors for all their years of service and the excellent work they are handing over. Joe and Amanda both will bring their own qualities and ideas to the school and we look forward to working with them and offering our students mind and character building education."
Ms. Howard is looking forward to her new role and says: "I will be working closely with the other teachers and parents in helping their children not only succeed academically, but to grow as people and to be part of the school community here at ICSV. It is a great school to work at and I cannot wait to get started on the new academic year!"
Ms Howard holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the state of California and an additional teaching credential from the Association of Christian Schools International.
She also holds a certification for teaching English Language Learners. Following her undergraduate work, Ms. Howard completed a Master’s Degree in Education from Biola University. During her teaching career, Ms. Howard has taught Primary, 1st grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, and 6th grade classes.
Joe Overby holds an educational degree from Oklahoma Baptist University. He has more than 10 years of experience working in education both in the USA and in Austria. He specializes in Maths and Social Studies and has spent several years as a passionate sports coach for American football, soccer, basketball and track. His desire is to "lead the Secondary School of ICSV towards excellence in character, education, and spiritual growth by personal example. My hope and desire is that ICSV will be the place where tomorrow's leaders are fully educated in mind, body, and soul today."
