Lipizzaner charity gala at Piber
Once again Elisabeth Gürtler, director of the Spanish Riding School, is hosting a gala dinner for a good cause.
On September 22nd the gala will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Piber Baroque Castle in Styria.
Guests can enjoy the very best food prepared by tops chefs from Styria as well as wine from the best local wine producers.
Gürtler said "We are looking forward to welcoming guests once again and repeating last year's success."
The proceeds from the event will be put to good use as part of the Lipizzaner breading programme in Piber.
Chef's Christof Widakovich from Restaurant Schlossberg in Graz, Christian Übeleis from zum Forsthaus in Fischbach, Mike Johann from Johanns in Bruck an der Mur, René Leitgeb from Café Sacher Graz) uand Hofmolkerei Tax from Piberegg will be creating the extravagant buffet for the guests.
Wine will be provided by wineries Dorner, Thaller and Elsnegg and music from Schneiderwirt Trio will keep guests entertained.
Before the dinner there will be a traditional Autumn parade.
Gürtler said: "Our riders will put on a show. We will also be presenting our youngest stallions.
Tickets cost 130 Euro per person or 1,300 Euro for a table for ten people.
The parade begins at 13.30 and the dinner at 17.00.
