Placebo call off gig after just one song
British rock bank Placebo pulled out of a gig at the Frequency-Festival in Austria after just one song.
Placebo headlining the festival had played their opening song when singer Brian Molko suddenly left the stage.
Drummer Steve Forrest originally carried on looking somewhat confused then also left the stage.
Then band member Stefan Olsdal came back onto the stage to tell the crowd in broken German that they could not continue the show due to health reasons.
"Brian is not well, he is feeling ill. He cannot play the concert.
Concert promoter Ewald Tatar confirmed: "Brian Molko really didn't look very well."
"Brian Molko had caught a virus which put him out of action. He had reportedly felt bad all day and when he went onto the stage the adrenaline made him feel even more disorientated and didn't feel able to carry on."
