Bruce Springsteen delights fans in Vienna

Music legend Bruce Springsteen played a record breaking set in front of a sell out Ernst-Happel-Stadium in Vienna last night (Thurs).

62-year-old Springsteen played for three hours 41 minutes delighting fans by shaking hands with many of them and inviting fans to join him on the stage.

‘The Boss’ opened the concert with "We Take Care Of Our Own" from his latest album Wrecking Ball and his set included classics like "Born in the USA" or "Working on a Dream" as well as new songs from his most recent album "Wrecking Ball" (2012).

Even though Springsteen was almost 40 minutes late to take to the stage he played for much longer, longer than he was authorised by Vienna city authorities.

At 23.00 officials even had the lighting turned on in the stadium to make clear the time was up, but Springsteen and his E-Street Band were not influenced by this and carried on playing to the delight of the fans.

In total Springsteen played 31 songs from old and new albums.
